Is this a case of - you get what you pay for? Oct 26, 2009 I have purchased this same product from my local Whole Foods prior to this purchase which is my basis for this complaint. I have opened and tried my 1st of 6 bottles from this seller and have noticed the difference in taste and quality. The one that was sent to me was a lot thinner (dilluted) and sour tasting (like it is about to go bad) than the ones I purchased from Whole Foods. I checked the best before date and it says it does not expire until Aug 2011.
Tastes fine - does a body good Oct 08, 2009 I have avoided the ACAI Berry hype, because like most diet trends, they come and go down the drain. I happened to be shopping at the local health food store and saw the ACAI 100 bottle on sale and decided this might be a good time to start it. I must say here that I have just started on a vegetable juice fast and wondered where I would get some protein to keep up my energy.
My fasting is vegetables, mostly, since I have to avoid sugars (including natual fruit). So without sugar, protein or caffeine for energy, I was not sure I could last on the fast for very long. I have suffered from migraines for over 40 years and have recently been diagnosed with fibromyalgia/fatigue (which I have probably had for quite a while).
Even though I usually eat healthy, I knew there was room for improvement. A detox might also be a good way to get rid of toxins after years of prescriptions.
My main purpose for the purchase of the ACAI 100 juice was for weight lose - which seems to have been a problem these last few years.
I blend the ACAI 100 with my juices and cannot taste it at all. I have even put it in my tea and although it looks a bit muddy, I could not taste it. This is a good thing for me since I really like the taste of most of my juice creations and teas.
To my surprise, my energy has increased during this fast. I believe the increased energy is due to the Acai berry juice. I have had no side effects from the fasting or the juice and feel great. Meanwhile, I know my body is getting healthy and getting rid of the many toxins in my liver and other body parts.
Do not drink the juice before bedtime, as the increased energy may make it difficult to sleep.
By the way, I have lost 12 pounds in the first 8 days (ofcourse, this is with a juice fast and no sweets). FINALLY a product that lives up to the hype. I do think it is good to watch what form of ACAI you purchase. I can't imagine the diluted versions are really very good. I read a lot of customer reviews before I decided this is the one for me and ordered more.

Oh Meeeee....Well Jun 29, 2009 My wife (the Admiral) was so excited about the ACAI 100. From our investigation it's the best ACAI juice out there for the money but... but... after drinking the much (not really so bad tasting) for over a month I could not honestly see in pain difference in my joints. I always think of this type stuff as Snake Oil but tried it with good hopes! (I know there's other benefits of the Acai berry.) Good luck maybe it will work for you. If you are going to buy ACAI juice, look at the percent some of the cheaper stuff is less than 10%!

Jury is still out... Jun 12, 2009 I'm not sure that the Acai juice works that well as an aid to weight loss, but I feel great and the price is right.

Completely different product sent second time around Apr 15, 2009 First time I ordered this I was incredibly pleased - it was thick, and absolutely unbelievable in effect and quality. However, I have just received my second batch.....it tastes absolutely rotten, it is watered down, it is no longer thick and it actually - next to the "old batch" tasting like it is spoiled, even though expiry date is set to March of 2011. Not buying this stuff ever again - for this amount of money who knows what I will get next?
